KIDS’ STUFF

Fitz’s love kids. As soon as you walk in, you know you and your family will enjoy your visit.

Where else can you go to enjoy a meal or float or shake, and see an authentic root beer bottling line? No matter where you sit on the main floor, you can see this vintage line that’s capable of turning out a bottle of soda every second.

Fitz’s is full of bright colors, thanks to the art deco interior, cheerfully lit at night. This unusual décor adds a note of festivity that kids love.

Fitz’s was originally a drive-in, so what better way to give the young ones a history lesson than to serve up their meal in a mini-auto. They can take it home. Lots of special items on the menu for kids. They won’t leave hungry, guaranteed.

Finish a float and you’ll get a colorful refrigerator magnets. A cool reminder of just how great a Fitz Float tastes.

Incredible desserts are a big feature at Fitz’s. Not just floats, but thick shakes and special items are on the menu.

HOW TO MAKE A FITZ’S ROOT BEER FLOAT

All you need are three things to make the world’s best root beer float: a cold bottle of Fitz’s root beer, a pint of good vanilla ice cream, and a frosty mug. To make a mug frosty, dip it in water, then put it in the freezer for one hour.

Carefully lower 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream into the mug and add Fitz’s root beer. Put in a straw and a long-handled spoon. Congratulations. You’re ready to enjoy your very own homemade Fitz’s Float.

FIELD TRIPS FOR SCHOOLS

Tell your teacher about field trips that are now being offered to Fitz’s. You and your class can see how root beer is made, learn about the neighborhood, and enjoy an activity that involves the unique St. Louis Walk of Fame. Here’s where you find out about famous St. Louisans, while having a lot of fun with your classmates. Your teacher can get the information by visiting this web site or sending an e-mail to maureen@fitzsrootbeer.com.
